Obama Inauguration Speechを観て
昨朝、観ました。
学校でもいつもはブッシュ大統領の皮肉なジョーク飛ばしてる先生も、この日はオバマ大統領の写真持ってきて熱く語ってたのが印象的だった。

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many.
They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America - they will be met. On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.
The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works
"Let it be told to the future world...that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive...that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet [it]."
America. In the face of our common dangers, in this winter of our hardship, let us remember these timeless words. With hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come. Let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.
一般人が肌で感じるほどの変化の時期にいる今この時にオバマ大統領が誕生したことは偶然ではなく、アメリカ国民の中にある強い危機感、そして山済みされた難題を乗り越えるという強いWillの表れだと、200万人の群集を前に鳥肌が立った。
人々のWillが政治を動かす。
一人ひとりが「どうにかなる」とも思わず、「お役所さんに任せる政治」という意識ではなく、自ら「Change」に関わる、Will。
世界一の超大国が本気で変わる
For the world has changed, and we must change with it.
変わらなければ、滅びる。
変わらない国は滅びるという危機感を持って、日本を観る目が変わりつつある。
または、国民が「この国は滅びる」と思えば滅びる
「Change」の「Will」が国民一人ひとりになければ、国は変わらない
そう思えるような希望と自信がなければならない。
「国が滅びる」という意味
「日本語が滅びる」といった危機感のほかにも、国から人が逃げてくる場に、ここにいて何度となく出会った。
若者が日本から出ている。
そして、最近は歳の近い学校の友達と「日本に勝機があるか」、「日本に帰ることが果たして賢明か」といったことを真剣に話し合う。
今は「一時的な不景気」なのか、それともこれから「衰退」してゆくのか
景気を立て直すはお偉いさんに任しとけばいいのか
国のトップが何度となく変わり、選挙に勝つことだけの為に利用されるままでいいのか
自民党が政権を握ろうが、民主党に移ろうが自分には関係ないのか
派遣労働者が増え続ける事態を解決するのは、国任せにしておけばいいのか
残念だけど、今までは描かなかった「国が滅びる」絵をよりいっそう想像しやすくなった。
日本国民として、自分でも寒気がする
オバマ政権、海の向こうで起こる「Change」ではなく、真剣に学び、自らの形で実行していかなければいけない。
「変わらなければ、国は滅びる」
